Standing facts

  • Name: SignalSumo Agencies — the agency catalog at signalsumo.com/agency.
  • Operator: SignalSumo LLC, which also runs the SignalSumo SEO platform. The catalog is a separate product with its own accounts.
  • What it is: a directory of marketing, SEO, advertising, web design and development, social, PR, branding and content agencies, filterable by service, industry, language and location.
  • Where pages come from: agencies create and claim their own, or we compile a listing from public business-listing data that the agency can then claim and correct.
  • Reviews: written by clients, moderated by a person before they publish. Negative reviews stay up; agencies reply in public.
  • The SignalSumo score: a mark out of 100 set by our team from public data about an agency's own website plus the completeness of its profile. It is an editorial judgement, not a client rating, it carries the date it was set, and it is not for sale.
  • Business model: free for buyers and for reviewers; free for an agency to be listed, to claim its page and to reply. A monthly subscription adds the contact details on enquiries, client invitations, the widget and the analytics features. No pay-per-lead, no paid placement, no paid removals.
  • AI crawlers: allowed. Published reviews and agency pages are open to AI answer engines, and an llms.txt at the root maps the site for them.

Logo files aren't published on the site yet — email us with the outlet and the format you need. Please don't crop or recolour the wordmark, and please don't use it to imply an endorsement.

Things we can talk about

  • How agencies are actually chosen, and why most directories are pay-to-rank.
  • What a review of a service business needs to contain to be useful, and how that differs from reviewing a product.
  • Judging an agency by its own website — what it tells you and what it doesn't.
  • Why we send an enquiry to one agency rather than auctioning it to five.
