1. Agreement
By creating an account or otherwise using the SignalSumo agency catalog, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use it. The catalog is operated by SignalSumo LLC; an account here is separate from an account on the SignalSumo SEO platform and these terms cover only the catalog.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 16.
- Give a valid email address and keep your credentials safe.
- One person, one account. Extra accounts used to inflate or attack an agency's rating are grounds for suspension.
- What happens under your account is yours until you tell us it was compromised.
3. Reviews you write
You keep the copyright in your reviews. By publishing one here you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to display, distribute, syndicate and quote it in connection with running the catalog — including to search engines and the AI answer engines we allow to index the site.
A review must be your own first-hand experience of working with the agency and must follow the review guidelines. Reviews may be held, edited down or removed where they break the guidelines; ask and we will tell you why.
4. If you run an agency here
- Claim only an agency you own or are authorised to represent. Domain verification is the check; misrepresenting yourself loses the claim.
- Keep the profile accurate — services you actually offer, industries you have actually served, locations where you actually work.
- Reply publicly as much as you like; replies follow the same guidelines.
- Invitations go to real clients only. Buying a list and blasting it is grounds for suspension.
- Don't try to get a review removed by any route other than a well-founded flag against a specific rule-breaking review.
- Enquiries you receive may be used only to respond to that enquiry. Adding the sender to a mailing list, reselling their details or passing them to another agency is a breach of these terms and of the sender's trust.
5. Enquiries
We pass on what a buyer sends; we don't check it, and we don't promise that any enquiry is genuine, qualified or worth your time. Equally, we make no promise to a buyer that an agency will answer, quote or take the work. What follows an introduction — proposals, contracts, money, the work itself — is between the two of you, and we are not a party to it.
6. Subscriptions
The listing, the profile, replies and masked enquiries are free. A paid plan is billed per agency page, monthly, in advance, and adds the features described on the pricing page — including the sender's contact details on enquiries. Cancel whenever you like; the plan runs to the end of the term you have paid for and does not renew after that. Nothing about a paid plan changes where you appear in the catalog, what a review may say, or your SignalSumo score.
7. The SignalSumo score
Where a page carries a SignalSumo score, it is our opinion, set by our team from public data about the agency's website and the completeness of its profile, at the date shown. It is not a rating from clients, not a certification, and not advice to hire or avoid anyone. We may change or withdraw a score; it cannot be bought, and no subscription includes it.
8. Prohibited use
- No scraping outside what
robots.txtallows. - No reverse-engineering, disrupting or overloading the site.
- No impersonating another person, another agency, or SignalSumo.
- No unlawful, threatening, harassing or infringing content.
- No paid or incentivised reviews outside the invitation programme.
9. Content owned by others
Agency names, logos and trademarks belong to their owners and are used here to identify them. Business details on compiled listings come from public sources; an agency can claim its page and correct them at any time. If you believe something here infringes your rights, write to [email protected].
10. Disclaimers
The catalog is provided "as is" and "as available". Reviews are the opinions of the people who wrote them, not statements of fact by SignalSumo. We don't warrant that the site is always available, error-free or fit for a particular purpose, and we are not liable for indirect, consequential or incidental damages arising from your use of it, to the fullest extent the law allows. Choosing an agency is your decision.
11. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, the guidelines or the law. You can close your own account at any time from your account settings; closing it does not automatically remove reviews you published, though you may delete them yourself first.
12. Changes to these terms
We update the date at the top, and surface a notice on the account overview for material changes.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, and the courts of San Francisco County, California have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. Raise anything at [email protected] first — most things are settled there.
